Despite the criticism and an ongoing concern on how it might impact the environment, one thing for certain that is China has managed to awe the world by building a man-made wonder, the world’s highest rail track to date at 5.072m above sea level, to which 550 km long railway is constructed upon permafrost soil. With a total length of 4064 km stretched from Beijing to Lhasa, China attempts to further develop Tibet Autonomous Region and modernizing the remote part of the Tibetan Plateu, Qinghai Province.
